Projection Equipment Centre was incorporated on 22nd Feb 1978 by Late Hari Hirani, a Visionary Entrepreneur who wanted to modernize the method of school teaching, training institutes, Schools & Colleges with latest Audio Visual Equipment’s in the state of Undivided Bihar.

Graduated in Commerce from Patna, started this business in 1978 in name of his wife (Lalita Hirani) as proprietor with items like Overhead Projectors, Slide Projectors, 16mm Projectors to provide latest AV method of teaching in Schools.

The company Photophone was a pioneer in this field and supported him with full dedication. The Company Photophone was pioneer in this and they supported him with full dedication. The reason behind this was a study that was published in newspapers in 70’s that Student retain 30% what is being heard , 50% what is being seen & 80% what they see & hear !!

He Visited personally to each schools , colleges , universities & the idea clicked. Even Medical Colleges, Doctors started demanding projectors for further teaching. The era of 80’s & 90’s saw deep penetration of AV method of teaching in Polytechnics as well.

In Audio segment , Philips was a major player and they added items like School Broadcasting system, Conference system & Wireless mics, in Assembly, Classroom teaching & Debate functions. His major and one of the biggest Installation was Bihar Vidhan Sabha Audio Conference Discussion System which was done in 1982.

Having done his Schooling from Sainik School Tilaya , St Michaels High School Patna & Graduated from Symbiosis College , Patna -joined his father’s business in 1995 whereby Information Technology was becoming a big wave in Education Segment.

• 1999-2009 Started Multimedia LCD Projector business with Philips Brand Distribution in 1999 whereby all major schools and colleges were being contacted personally, given demos, training & supplied.
• 2009-2014 Started Sony Vaio Laptop Distribution in Bihar with over 250+ retail outlets. However the Projector business continued to be focus in b2b sales with Schools , Colleges & Corporates.
• 2014-2016 Started Sony Xperia Smartphone Distribution in Central Bihar Area.
• 2017-2019 Started Oppo Smartphone distribution in Central Bihar
• 2019-2021 Started Gionee Mobile smartphone Distribution in Patna & Central Bihar
• 2021-2023 Started Viewsonic Interactive Flat Panel Display
• 2024 onwards Titan – Fastrack Smartwatch Distribution exclusively till date. However Projectors from Sony / Viewsonic / Epson / Infocus continue to be in B2B sales
